First Jump
Tandem

A tandem jump provides the first-time jumper with the exhiliation of the sport of skydiving, but with the comfort of being attached to an experienced instructor. After approximately one hour of instruction you can make a jump.

The adventurer is physically attached to an expertly-trained, Certified Instructor using a secure harness. This allows you the thrill of freefall with the comfort of an experienced instructor. You exit the aircraft from altitude, free fall for about 35 seconds, and then descend under a parachute built for two.

You descend for approximately 4-5 minutes allowing you to enjoy the view (you can ask your instructor to point out Beaver Stadium). Together you and your instructor will fly your canopy gently through the air, or if you are an extremist, you can go for the wild ride, spinning and banking your canopy through the sky like a jet fighter. You decide. Mild or wild -- it's your choice. After the fun you and your instructor will fly in for a nice soft landing.

The price for a tandem jump is $215. Video is an additional $95.

Instructor Aided Deployment

Instructor Aided Deployment, or IAD, is a technique that is replacing static line at many drop zones. After a comprehensive ground school (about 5 hours) the student will don a parachute. At about 4,000 feet the student will climb out of the plane, jump and be guided by radio to a smooth landing.

The price for the first IAD jump is $150.

You MUST be at least 18 years old, weigh no more than 235 lbs and be in good physical condition to skydive.
